Students will identify the number of cubes in a set of rods and loose cubes. Students will complete a number sentence representing a 2-digit number as tens and some ones (or expanded form)

A. Decompose numbers 11-19 into a group of 10 and some ones

B. Practice with number words 0-50

C. Practice with number lines showing 10-100

D. More practice with number lines showing 0-50

E. Review the difference between letters and digits. Learn about 1- and 2-digit numbers

F. Learn about the concept of 10-frames

G. Represent groups of ten as 2-digit numbers

H. Review the concept of tens written as a 2-digit number

I. Represent 2-digit numbers as groups of ten and some ones

J. More practice making equivalencies between groups of ten and some ones and 2-digit numbers

K. Write a 2-digit number to represent tens and ones

L. Identify place value within a 2-digit number

M. More practice identifying place value within 2-digit numbers
