Happy Numbers is built to keep students engaged on its own: bright characters, gentle storytelling, visible progress, and game-like moments such as hatching eggs or traveling to new planets. Together they help students feel that daily practice is part of a larger learning journey.
But no product motivates every student equally, and some of the strongest motivation in a classroom is social — it happens between students, not on a screen. That's why we created a set of classroom tools that extend Happy Numbers motivation beyond the platform.
1. Happy Numbers Milestone Chart
Print the class chart PDF and add students' names as they complete set numbers of tasks in Happy Numbers. Some milestones come with a special reward students pick at random by rolling a die.
To track progress, open the Activity Stream in your teacher account and switch to the Yearly filter.
2. Target Trackers
Each student on Happy Numbers has two weekly targets: a task target (tasks completed) and a time target (minutes practiced). Display a printed tracker in class, and have students color in one item each time they meet both. When the tracker is full, celebrate with a class activity — find ideas in our article.
3. Fun Friday
Offer a special activity to students who meet both weekly targets — or to the whole class if everyone reaches them. Pick an activity from our list or use one of your own classroom traditions.
For extra momentum, display the charts from the Weekly Dashboard on the whiteboard so the class can see how close they are to their goal.
