Revised Time Targets for Pre-K & K: More Learning in Less Time

We’ve optimized the content, enhanced the lesson structure, and adapted the platform to better suit the developmental needs of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. As a result, children can now learn more effectively in less time.

What’s Changing?

  • Pre-Kindergarten students: The Weekly Time Target has been reduced from 45 minutes to 30 minutes.
  • Kindergarten students: The Weekly Time Target has been reduced from 45 minutes to 35 minutes.

This change wasn’t made on a whim. We carefully considered how to make every session more engaging and effective, while also keeping in mind the attention spans and developmental stages of young learners.

Why the Change?

At Happy Numbers, our product development process is data-driven and rooted in research. We continuously monitor how students interact with the platform, gathering real-time data to refine our approach.

Based on our analysis, we have significantly improved the content, making it more focused and aligned with the developmental needs of students. As a result, the learning process has become more productive, allowing students to achieve the same outcomes in less time.

Therefore, the new time targets are not simply a reduction in time but a reflection of how much more efficient the curriculum has become.

This update ensures that:

  1. Less Time, More Learning: While students are now spending less time, each minute spent on the platform will be more purposeful, helping them achieve a higher level of mastery in a shorter period.
  2. Better Alignment with Developmental Needs: Young learners, especially those in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, benefit from shorter, focused bursts of activity rather than longer, more extended sessions. The new time targets are more in tune with their attention spans and developmental stages.
  3. More Efficient Lessons for Teachers: Teachers can now guide students through lessons that are better structured for focused engagement, ultimately leading to more productive and rewarding class time.

What Does This Mean for Teachers?

  • Teachers now have more flexibility to adjust how time is spent in class, making it easier to meet the needs of every student without sacrificing learning quality.
  • With less time required, students can get feedback faster, stay more focused, and finish tasks without feeling stressed.
  • Teachers can still adjust the Weekly Time Target for each student, making sure that everyone gets the right level of challenge and support.

We are confident that these changes will make Happy Numbers even more effective for teachers and students alike.
