Students will multiply two 2-digit numbers by first breaking problems into partial products requiring multiplication by ones, then tens. Students will solve for each partial product, then add them to solve for the total product

A. Solve multiplication problems using the standard algorithm (Level 1)

B. Solve multiplication problems using the standard algorithm (Level 2)

C. Multiply multi-digit numbers by factoring out powers of 10 and using the associative property

D. Develop and test an algorithm for multiplying by a factor with a single non-zero digit

E. Use the strategy of factoring out powers of 10 to solve multi-digit multiplication problems

F. Multiply two 2-digit numbers using the standard algorithm and the strategy of factoring out powers of ten (Level 1)

G. Multiply two 2-digit numbers using the standard algorithm and the strategy of factoring out powers of ten (Level 2)

H. Multiply two 2-digit numbers using the standard algorithm and the strategy of factoring out powers of ten (Level 3)

I. Use the area model to multiply two 2-digit numbers

K. Multiply multi-digit numbers using the concept of partial products (Level 1)

L. Multiply multi-digit numbers using the concept of partial products (Level 2)

M. Multiply multi-digit numbers using the concept of partial products (Level 3)
